A mortality table is an actuarial table based on actuarial
statistics taken over a number of years. The Actuarial
Conversion Tool (A.C.T.) offers eight mortality tables to choose
from in the conversion factor calculation:
-
1994 GAR, Projected to 2002 by Scale AA
-
1983 Group Annuity Mortality (50% male, 50% female)
-
1983 Group Annuity Mortality (Male)
-
1983 Group Annuity Mortality (Female)
-
1984 Uninsured Pensioner Mortality
-
1971 Group Annuity Mortality (Male)
-
1971 Group Annuity Mortality (Female)
-
1965 Projected Annuity Mortality
If a combination of mortality rates from two different tables
is desired, a custom table can be built for the primary
annuitant and/or joint annuitant by selecting the mortality tables for each and
specifiying a blending percentage.
